Richard W. Horton - Winterstoke House (1965-1970)

We are saddened to advise you that, after a protracted illness, our dear friend Richard Horton passed away peacefully on Friday 1st July 2022.

A few words in his memory.

Richard was not a scholar but made his mark through his outward going personality and sporting prowess.

He was significantly involved in the School swimming and rugby teams throughout his time at the school.

On leaving MHS he became an active and influential member of the Old Millhillian RFC 1st XV over many years.

In 1982 he joined the Old Millhillian Lodge and held many senior positions.

A committed Old Millhillian, he was a loyal friend who left his mark on all who met him.

He passed after a long and debilitating illness well fought with his typical humour and fortitude.

He will be sadly missed and long remembered.
