Old Millhillians Hockey Club

We are excited to update you on the Old Millhillians Hockey Club and share some exciting developments as we continue to grow the game within our alumni community.

Now entering its fifth season, the women's section has established itself as a key part of the Old Millhillians sporting community since its launch in 2021. Combining competitive hockey with a strong social culture, the team achieved an excellent fifth-place league finish last season, demonstrating its continued development and success both on and off the pitch.

As we look ahead to the 2026/27 season, we are delighted to announce the launch of the Old Millhillians Men's Hockey Team, which will begin competing in the London Hockey League from September 2026.

The men's side has already made an encouraging start, recently taking on the Mill Hill School 1st XI and recording an impressive 5–0 victory. With both men's and women's teams training together and working closely as one club, we are creating a strong and sustainable hockey community for Old Millhillians of all ages and abilities. Whether you're a former school player, an experienced club hockey player, or simply looking to pick up a stick again after some time away from the game, we would love to welcome you.

What you can expect from your membership with OMHC:

• Excellent home and training facilities at Mill Hill School and, once completed, Belmont School's brand-new astro pitch
• Experienced coaches to help develop your skills
• Socials, away days with your team and a welcoming atmosphere on and off the pitch

We are currently recruiting players across all positions and experience levels for all teams – both the men’s and women’s teams. This includes those who are outfield, goalies and umpires are welcome! Training

The next hockey season will run from September 2026 through to April 2027. Training is held every Tuesday from 19:30 – 20:30 at the school and allows us time to practice as a team, learn new drills and practice short corners which ultimately we use in the games. This session is open to those of all abilities as the coach makes it a fun and interactive session!

Fixtures & Results

Matches are played on Saturdays. The times do vary, however the team usually head to team teas and drinks after the match to debrief and a vote on player of the match. We hold quarterly socials and often mix with the Old Millhillian Rugby and Cricket teams.
