1807

The Founding Committee decide to open a non-conformist school. Reverend Pye-Smith and Samuel Favell plan and open Mill Hill Grammar in Ridgeway House. The school welcomed 62 pupils in the first year.

1878

The Old Millhillians Club was established during the headmastership of Dr J.H. Weymouth.

1907

The Winterstoke Library was built during the year of the school's centenary. It was funded by one of the school's most generous former pupils, Sir Henry Wills,1st Baron Winterstoke.

1939

St. Bees. Mill Hill School was evacuated from North London because of the danger of air raids. The entire school community moved 300 miles north to St Bees in Cumbria, where it remained for six years, until the end of the war.

1957

Her Majesty, the Late Queen Elizabeth II, visits Mill Hill to celebrate its 150th anniversary. The late Queen met with pupils from all areas of school life- Monitors, Captains of sports teams, the OTC troop - and even takes tea with the Headmaster, Roy Moore, and his family.

2007

The Favell Building. To celebrate its 200th anniversary, Mill Hill renovates its site. This includes the creation of a new humanities building, The Favell. Opened by HRH Countess of Wessex.

2027
