Dapeng Lou (Winterstoke 1950-55) - Former World Athletics Vice-President

We were deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Old Millhillian and Old Belmontian, Dapeng Lou, on 25 January 2026, aged 89. Dapeng was a member of Winterstoke House and had very fond memories of his time at Mill Hill, which remained an important and cherished part of his life. Beyond his school years, Dapeng went on to enjoy a distinguished career in international athletics administration. He was widely respected for his leadership and vision, and his influence was felt across the global sporting community. Most notably, he served as Vice-President of World Athletics from 1997 to 2007. Dapeng will be remembered with gratitude and respect by all who knew him.
