John was a qualified CPA, joined the family business and was subsequently bought out by Dunlop. He continued to work for Dunlop (or successor firms) including assignments in South Africa and Nigeria until retirement in West Sussex, living latterly in Chichester.

John was the beloved husband of Judy, much loved father of Carolyn and Nigel and grandpa of Matthew, Oliver, William and Fergus
