The Medical Professions Meeting next March is again at The Athenaeum and features, as guest speaker, Dr Sebastian Lighvani, an Old Millhillian ( School House 1985-90) and an allergy specialist practising in New York.
The subject of his talk is very current and is of relevance to medics and non-medics alike.
In combination with the excellent hospitality offered by The Athenaeum, this will be an educational, nutritious and convivial evening during which many questions on allergy in general and on food allergy, in particular, will be answered.
Dr. Sebastian Lighvani has been providing exceptional allergy treatment and care since 2003. He earned his medical degree from King’s College in London, England and completed his residency at the Mayo Clinic. He also completed a Fellowship in allergy and immunology at Johns Hopkins University.
Dr. Lighvani is Board Certified in Allergy and Immunology, as well as Internal Medicine. He’ s been voted one of America’s Top Doctors every year since 2006 and is a recipient of the Compassionate Doctor and Patient’s Choice Awards. Dr. Lighvani serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Weill Cornell Medical College and is actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows in the field of Allergy and Immunology.
Dr. Lighvani is a member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and the New York Allergy Society.
