Whether you are considering a career in law, on the career ladder or an established or retired lawyer, or even simply have an interest in law, the OM Legal Event is an opportunity to socialise, network and this year to hear from an eminent Judge at the heart of the Civil Courts.

His Honour Judge Hedley was appointed as a Recorder in 2002, a District Judge in 2012 and then a Circuit Judge and Deputy High Court Judge in 2018. He is currently the Designated Civil Judge for Leicester and Northampton, a role he has held since February 2019.

The Legal Event includes drinks and a buffet, with the venue giving fine views of St Paul's Cathedral. Dinner will be followed by our Guest Speaker's talk "A Judge in the 21st Century Civil Courts" touching on various matters such as deciding civil cases, appointment of Judges, the role of a Designated Civil Judge and, last but not least, the challenges posed by technology and artificial intelligence and the future of civil justice.
